Girona

We arrived about 5pm and were delighted to find our hostel very nice. Kari and I actually have a dorm room to ourselves and there is a nice kitchen and rooftop terrace. After settling in, we spent the evening exploring Girona. We walked on the old city wall and through gardens, took in the cathedral and experienced El Call, the old Jewish quarter. Girona is such a beautiful, distinctly Spanish city. From the roof, we enjoyed some freshly made salsa and watched twilight set in. Tomorrow, we get to spend the morning here but by mid-afternoon, we will be off to the airport to catch our flight to Newcastle, England for the wedding of Lady Melissa Percy in Alnwick. Very excited!
