More of the Eternal City

Today we headed out to Vatican City where we were poured and hailed on for a short time. We really enjoyed the Vatican museums. St. Peter's Basilica is everything you would imagine the head of the Catholic Church to be. It was fun to climb up over 500 steps to the cupola and experience the amazing view of Vatican City and Rome. Next we headed over to the coliseum, where we took in the ancient stadium architecture and learned more about the society and games of old. After being out over 8 hours, we went back to our hostel and freshened up. Tonight, we plan to head to a local pasta place. It's off the beaten track so the daily special is just 4 euros!
